Helen Manning

Clinical Director and Practice Manager   RVN

Helen has worked in many areas of the veterinary world, starting off her career as a qualified Veterinary Nurse. She then moved on to pet nutrition, pharmaceuticals, clinic nursing, marketing and more recently management. She was one of the founding partners of Swaffham Veterinary Centre in 2014.


She is married to Bob, has a son called Seth and an extremely naughty Labrador called Nigel and Border terrier called Bug. Helen is the proud owner of six tortoises, including two giants.

Liam Manson

Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon   BVM&S GPCert (SAS) MRCVS

Liam founded Swaffham veterinary Centre in 2014, having worked in mid-Norfolk since graduating from Edinburgh University in 2003.  He completed a surgical certificate in 2007 and continues to have a keen interest in surgery but does enjoy the variety that a busy first opinion small animal practice gives each day.

Out of work Liam enjoys spending time with his wife and children, who all enjoy travelling in the UK and abroad.  he also enjoys exploring the beautiful Norfolk countryside with his Labrador Daisy.  When given the opportunity Liam is a keen gardener.

Ben Mcdonnell

Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon   BVSc, BSc, Cert AVP (GSAS)MRCVS

Following his graduation from Liverpool University in 2008 Ben returned to his roots in Cumbria, where he spent a short period working in mixed practice, before making the decision to work solely as a small animal veterinarian. He moved to Norfolk in 2022, when he joined our team at Swaffham, becoming a clinical director in 2025. Ben enjoys all aspects of first opinion small practice work, but especially enjoys the surgical side of the job and achieved the Royal College Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (General Small Animal Surgery) in 2021.


Outside work Ben is often found exploring the Norfolk countryside and coastline with his son Joey. His other interests include mountain biking, walking, running and more recently paddle boarding.

Helen Manson

Veterinary Surgeon &nbsp BVM&S CertVOphthal MRCVS

Helen moved to Norfolk after graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 2003. After working in practices around King’s Lynn, she joined the practice in 2023.


Helen enjoys small animal medicine and has a special interest in Ophthalmology. Helen gained her post graduate RCVS certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2012 and offers internal and external referrals for eye cases at the practice.


Outside of work, Helen is kept busy with her three children, Daisy the Labrador and Maggie the cat. She is married to Liam.

Emily Neep

Emily joined Swaffham Veterinary Centre in 2023, having worked as a vet in Wales. Originally from Norfolk, she was very excited to move back home! She has a keen interest in exotic animal care and also is trained in acupuncture.


In her spare time, Emily enjoys exploring her creative side with various craft projects, from crochet to jewellery making and can often be heard singing along to her favourite musical (much to the nurse’s dismay!). She has always had pets at home, ranging from various cats and dogs to a pet toad!

Laure Kee

Lauren is originally from Northern Ireland. She joined the team in January 2025 after graduating from Nottingham University. She has enjoyed getting stuck into all aspects of first opinion practice and is especially interested in surgery. She loves getting to know the clients and their pets and building up relationships with them.

She spends her weekends exploring the beautiful Norfolk countryside and coast with her dog Dora and enjoys spending time with her friends.

Theoni qualified in May 2023 at Trakia University in Bulgaria. She joined us in December 2024, and loves all aspects of the job with consultations being her favourite. She has a bubbly character and loves talking to clients and getting to know their pets. She is studying for a certificate in Dermatology.

In her spare time she loves exploring, travelling to new places and spending time with her friends.

G qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2023 and began working at Swaffham Vets in 2025.  He enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, especially surgical cases. 

Out of work he spends his time gardening and hanging out with his dog Crumble. 

Adri Rossouw

Locum Veterinary Surgeon   BVSc CertAVP (FelMed) MRCVS

Adri qualified as a Vet Surgeon in South Africa in May 1992 before moving to the UK in 1998.  She was partner in a small animal vet practice in Norfolk before retiring in May 2023.  She missed working with animals so now works as a locum part time.  She brings a wealth of experience to the team.  She achieved a CertAVP Small Animal Medicine (feline medicine) certificate in 2023.  She also enjoys orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. 

Outside work Adri enjoys gardening, cycling and walking as well as being involved in the Gateway Church in Kings Lynn.  Adri has a tuxedo cat called Karolus and the village peacock Bob has claimed her garden.

Kelly Maclean

Directors Assistant / Clinic Nurse / Insurance Lead   RVN

Kelly has been with the practice from the beginning. She has moved from head nurse to a more administrative role, assisting Liam, Helen and Ben and leading on insurance claims. She remains passionate about animal behaviour and running nurse consulting sessions.


Outside work she enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.

Kayleigh Hardy

Kayleigh qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2010. Since then she has taken a keen interest in training and supporting student veterinary nurses. She also enjoys theatre and emergency and critical care nursing.

In her spare time she enjoys exploring Norfolk and doing fun activities with family and friends she also enjoys swimming and pilates.

Mallory Flynn

Deputy Lead Veterinary Nurse   BSc (hons) RVN

Mallory graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013 and gained a BScHons in 2014. She is passionate about analgesia and emergency and critical care medicine.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and cats Ozzie and Eddie.

Rosie joined Swaffham Vets as a qualified nurse in 2024, after moving to Norfolk from Essex to be closer to family. She has a particular interest in feline nursing and medicine and is passionate about helping cats feel more comfortable in practice. She achieved the Certificate in feline nursing from iCatCare in 2026 and runs our senior cat clinic.

Outside of work, she enjoys country walks, reading and spending time with her two cats and her border terrier.

Jade qualified as a veterinary nurse in September 2022 and joined Swaffham Veterinary Centre in January 2023. Jade is passionate about furthering her knowledge through her nursing career and ensuring the patients feel as calm as possible during their time within the practice.


In her spare time, she enjoys PC gaming, learning Astrology and nature walks.

Lucy Hendry

Lucy graduated from Middlesex University with a bachelors degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2020 and joined the nursing team in 2025.  She has a keen interest in emergency, critical care and schedule 3 nursing.

Outside of work she enjoys taking her border collie to agility, baking and reading.

Lizzi Brason

Veterinary Nurse   FdSc SQP RVN

Lizzi joined us in 2024 as a Student Veterinary Nurse, and we were delighted when she graduated in April 2025. She loves all aspects of the job, just as happy in theatre as chatting to owners about their concerns for their pets.

She has a rescue cat called Maggie and a pug called Pip. She enjoys spending time with her family, running and taking part in half marathons.

Georgia Eaton

Georgia qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2025 since training with her since 2021. She really enjoys working with the inpatients and giving a high level of clinical care. Previously she achieved an honours degree in Animal Science and Welfare.


In her spare time, she enjoys walking her very excited spaniel Chester, travelling to new places and meeting up with friends and family.

Heather Sturgeon

Heather started work at Swaffham Veterinary Centre in July 2022 after moving to Norfolk from Cumbria with her husband. Heather has a special interest in laboratory work and nurse consulting.Outside of work, Heather enjoys travelling and attends tap dancing classes. She has a Springer Spaniel called Jack and a cat called Catfink.

Tammy joined Swaffham Vets in October 2024 to continue her nurse training, and hopes to qualify soon. She loves supporting clients and their pets and loves the challenge of hand rearing kittens and puppies .

Out of work her 3 dogs and 4 cats keep her busy alongside doing DIY and gaming.

Kerri Farrow

Kerri joined Swaffham Veterinary Centre in October 2022 as our kennel assistant and is soon to be qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. She thoroughly enjoys her work within the practice and especially working with our in-patients.


Outside of work she enjoys pet sitting for friends and family and looking after her Guinea pigs Maple and Olive.

Tallulah Stocking

Tallulah has been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes since birth. She has helped her Mum raise and care for many rescue cases from Tortoises to all types of wildlife and this has given Tallulah a love of all species.


Tallulah has an interest in art, specifically drawing. She likes to draw realism, in particular animals and gifts many of her drawings to friends and family. In the future she is hoping to sell some of these drawings – they really are amazing!

Ellen joined us in 2026 after previously working in another vet practice and an animal sanctuary.

She loves horses and has two of her own called Molly and Abbie.  she also has four dogs who she enjoys walking in the Norfolk countryside. 

Olivia Sparkes

Lead Veterinary Receptionist

Olivia is our lead receptionist at Swaffham Vets. She has previously worked in customer service, another vet practice and animal rescue. She is always happy to give advice about strays and handrears.

Olivia has a cat and two rescue dogs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, baking cakes and taking her dogs for long walks in the countryside.

Sophie Rowley

Receptionist

Sophie has been with us on reception since we opened in 2014. She has previously worked as a wildlife assistant for the RSPCA and in the A&E department of the QE hospital as a receptionist. She loves getting to know clients and their pets and being a friendly face on reception.


Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, prone shooting and countryside walks with her dog Bentley.

Joanne Russell

Receptionist

As a vet’s daughter Joanne was brought up in a world of animals. For 12 years she worked as an administrator in a veterinary practice before taking time out to raise her daughter and two sons. She has been with the practice since September 2023 and loves meeting all the clients and their pets.


In her free time time she likes spending time with her husband, Barry, and their family, which includes their dogs Norman and Claude.

Receptionist / Patient Care Assistant

Alex joined us in the summer of 2024, having held previous reception roles. He enjoys chatting to people from all walks of life and getting to be part of our brilliant receptionist team. He’s now joined our nursing team as a patient Care Assistant.

Family life with his young daughter keeps him busy, although he still finds time to nerd out with computer games and films and is a budding guitarist.
