Acupuncture is a gentle ancient practice which has been practiced for thousands of years on both people and animals. It involves the use of fine needles, which are placed in or around ‘trigger points’ in the muscles as well as in specific acupuncture points, of which there are many! The needles lead to increased blood flow the area, reduced inflammation and release of the body’s natural pain relief.
